From October 23rd to October 25th, the annual conference of Chinese Urban Geography and Yellow River Basin High-quality Development High-level Forum was held through Tencent conference platform. Vice President Man Baoyuan attended the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech. The opening ceremony was presided by Professor Wang Chengxin, dean of School of Geography and Environment. In his speech, Man Baoyuan introduced the development status and planning of SDNU and the School of Geography and Environment. He hoped that all experts and scholars would collide academic ideas in mutual discussion and enhance friendship. Professor Zhang Guoyou introduced the development history and achievements of the Urban Geography Committee of the Geographical Society of China. Mr. Xiong Juhua explained the optimization scheme of application code of geographic science fund and the significance of reform, and expected human geography to further change its thinking and improve its competitiveness. Professor Zhen Feng emphasized the academic value of the integrated development of urban geography and other branches of geography. Afterwards, Professor Yuan yuan announced the winners of the "Excellent Paper Award of Chinese Urban Geography in 2020". In the session of the report, 11 scholars from different universities delivered keynote reports on different topics. At the summit forum, experts and scholars launched a heated discussion. The conference received more than 440 academic papers (including abstracts), set up 12 sub-conferences from all over the country. More than 2,000 scholars participated in the sub-conference.
