On the morning of October 13th, the second Outstanding Alumni Forum was held at the School of Physics and Electronics to celebrate the 70th anniversary of SDNU. Two excellent alumni, Liu Zhongyuan and Hu Zhenhua, returned to campus to share their research achievements and experience.

Liu Zhongyuan made the academic presentation “CVD-Grown Mono and Few-layer W(Mo)S2 and Devices”. He introduced the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth and optoelectronic devices of monolayer and low-layer W(Mo)S2 crystals, which has a wide application in optoelectronic devices, energy storage and so on.

Hu Zhenhua systematically introduced the work done by her team in recent years in her report on tumor imaging. Through the innovation of imaging methods, the team finally succeeded in applying part of the developed technologies to clinical tumor imaging.

In the concluding speech, vice director Ren Junfeng thanked the two alumni for their returning and sharing. He encouraged the faculty and students to continually make progress in academic innovation.
