From November 22nd to 24th, the fifth College Student Military Skills Competition in Jinan and the third College Student Speech Contest themed “Love Our National Defense” was held in Jinan International Garden Expo and the first Conference Hall of Changqinghu Campus of Shandong Normal University. SDNU participated in the competition and won 1 first prize, 2 third prizes and 1 third runner-up.
The contest was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Defense Education Office, the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal Retired Military Affairs Bureau, and the Political Work Office of the Guard District. And it was hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Military Affairs of Changqing District. More than 200 competitors and instructors from 31 universities in Jinan participated in the competition. The competition is based on the theme of "Inheritance of the Red Gene • Boosting the Dream of Strong Army", which included three events: military skills, national defense speeches, and military poem essays.
In the military skills project event, the course of the directional off-road is 8 kilometers around the Yuanboyuan Lake and the players completed ten missions. SDNU won the third prize.In the National Defense Speech Contest, SDNU won the honor of winning unit.
