From September 24thto 25th, the 17th National Joint Conference of Directors of School of Chinese Language and Literature of Higher Normal Colleges and Universities/Heads of Chinese Departments was held. The conference was guided by the Steering Committee for the Teaching of Chinese Literature of the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the Council of the Chinese Professional Alliance of Higher Normal Colleges, Higher Education Press, SDNU, Taishan College. Wan Guangxia, Vice President of SDNU, attended the conference and delivered a speech. More than 150 directors of the School of Chinese Language and Literature from more than 80 universities and colleges attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Sun Shuwen, director of the School of Chinese Language and Literature of SDNU.
In his speech, Wan Guangxia welcomed the guests.Zhang Fugui pointed out that Chinese teacher education should attach importance to the cultivation of family and country feelings, and improve the effectiveness of personnel training.Guo Changbao pointed out that colleges and universities should jointly enhance the status of normal colleges and universities in the competition of Chinese disciplines.Wen Guiliang pointed out that Chinese teacher education should focus on cultivating outstanding teachers, and should make efforts in institutional innovation and teachers' self-upgrading. Wang Weiquan said that he expects more colleges and universities to participate in the exploration of education.
