On the afternoon of August 27th, the inaugural meeting of the 2022 freshman military training brigade was held in the first lecture hall of Changqinghu Campus, and Vice President Zhang Maocong attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 120 staff members of the Student Work Department, 2022 freshman counselors and freshman military training instructors attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Li Pengjian, commander of the military training brigade and director of the Student Work Department.
At the inaugural meeting, Zhang Maocong presented the flag to the military training brigade. Shi Caihong, deputy brigade commander of the military training brigade and deputy director of the student work department, read out the list of cadres of the 2022 freshman military training brigade and made arrangements for the military training work in the two campuses.
This year, 5976 undergraduate freshmen will participate in military training. The military training period was from August 29thto September 9th, and the military training brigade had 6 battalions and 62 companies. In order to do a good job in this year's military training work, in mid-August, the Student Work Department organized the members of the reserve company of military training instructors to conduct a five-day intensive training at the Changqinghu Campus, and selected outstanding team members to serve as new military training instructors. The head of the Student Work Department serves as the camp instructor.
