On the afternoon of May 26th, SDNU held a plenary meeting of the Textbook Work Review Committee in Changqinghu Campus. Zhang Maocong, the Vice President of SDNU, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, andrelevant personnelattended the meeting. Registrar Zhang Zongbin presided over the meeting.

Zhang Maocong pointed out that the party committee of SDNU attached great importance to the construction of textbooks, and in order to effectively strengthen the management of school textbook construction and implement the spirit of the Ministry of Education's textbook management measures, a school textbook work committee had been established under the leadership of the school party committee. Zhang Maocong put forward four requirements for the construction of school teaching materials. First of all, it was necessary to improve the political position and attach great importance to the construction of teaching materials ideologically. And SDNU was expected to comprehensively implement the party's education policy and implement the fundamental task of moral education. Secondly, we must fully understand the importance and urgency of the management of teaching materials. Textbook Review Committee of SDNU will comprehensively carry out the selection, review, revision, compilation, and publication of textbooks, and strengthen the supervision and inspection of the selection of textbooks. Thirdly, high standards should be used to accelerate the planning and construction of teaching materials. Fourthly, the Textbook Work Committee should give full play to its functions, coordinate and cooperate with various departments of the school, do a good job in service guarantee and financial support, and accelerate the publication and promotion of new textbooks.

Ma Yinghong, the deputy director of the Office of Academic Affairs,reported the development of the textbook work of SDNU, and made arrangements for the upcoming review of textbooks. The members had a heated discussion on strengthening the planning and management of school textbook construction.
