On the morning of May 10th, the ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping,general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the ceremony. Liu Yifan,associate professor of College of International Education, attended the ceremony as a representative of the temporary post cadres of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.
Liu Yifan said that she was very honoured to have the opportunity to listen to the speech, which was full of care and expectations for the young generation. She said that only through striving can the young generation live up to the prosperity of the times and the expectations of the country.
