Recently, the Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Central Committee held a grand ceremony to award the honorary medal for Taiwan work, commending comrades who have worked in Taiwan for more than 25 years. Zhou Lianyong of the Office of Hong Kong& Taiwan Affairs of SDNU won the honorary medal.
SDNU is one of the earliest universities in the province to carry out exchanges with Taiwan. In recent years, SDNU has earnestly implemented the work spirit of the CPC Central Committee on Taiwan, with the goal of promoting educational and cultural exchanges between Shandong and Taiwan, explored and innovated and actively planned. It has concluded sister relationships with 12 colleges and universities in Taiwan, carried out fruitful exchanges through mutual visits between teachers and students, scientific research cooperation, platform construction and other channels, actively created brand projects for exchanges with Taiwan, and achieved fruitful results. In December 2015, the first batch of "Shandong Cross-Strait Exchange Demonstration Sites" was approved; In May 2021, SDNU was approved as an excellent education exchange project with Taiwan by the Ministry of Education; Since 2016, SDNU has been approved as an excellent Taiwan exchange project in the province for five consecutive years.
