In the afternoon of November 4th, the Second General Meeting of the Association of Non-Party Intellectuals was held in Qianfoshan Campus. The meeting was held in two stages, presided over by Xu Tianxiang, Vice President and Secretary General of the First Council of the Association of Intellectuals, and Jia Haining, Director of the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee.
Li Yeping was appointed as the honorary president and Xiu Lubin issued the letter of appointment for Li Yeping. Mr. Xiu Lubin and Mr. Xu Wenyuan expressed congratulations to the conference on behalf of the Department of Non-party Intellectuals of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Department of Education (Provincial Party Committee Education Work Committee) respectively, and fully affirmed the positive contributions made by SDNU's intellectual association to unite and lead the majority of non-party intellectuals in talent training, education and teaching, scientific research and social services.
On behalf of the Party Committee of SDNU, Mr. Zhang Wenxin congratulated the success of the conference and the newly elected leadership team of the Association as well as the directors. He Hongbin, the newly-elected president of the second council of the Association, made a statement on behalf of the new team members.
