On December 8th, the 2020 "My China Story" International Short Video Competition Award Ceremony was held. The Confucius Institute Story of Kenyan "Deyun Girl" produced by the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University won the excellent works award in the theme unit of "Travel to the World, Discover China".
The second competition of 2020 was launched in July 2019 and collected short videos on Chinese themes from all over the world. It has two annual special units and five theme units and lasted for 14 months. In the end, 50 shortlisted works were selected. Then 32 excellent works were selected among them, and one works awarded by the jury.
The winning work uses Faith and Alina as the prototype of two girls studying at the Confucius Institute, telling the story of their growth in learning Chinese and Chinese culture.
It is reported that " My China Story " is a short video project for multilingual foreign host in-depth experience founded by the China Foreign Languages Bureau in 2018. The second competition in 2020 is hosted by the China Foreign Languages Bureau and co-organized by multiple institutions.
