On November 19th, the forum on the internationalization of talent cultivation and the awarding ceremony of overseas scholarship for outstanding students was held in Qianfoshan Campus. Relevant departments and representitves attended the activity.
Ma Chizhu, director of the academy office said that SDNU would continue to strengthen the internationalization of talent cultivation, focus on promoting English teaching and improve the international level of undergraduate training. Wang Taifeng, vice president of the graduate school introduced the current situation of the internationalization of graduate education and put forward targeted development measures. Zhou Lianyong, director of the office of International Exchange & Copperation, made the report on the internationalization of talent cultivation and put forward suggestions for future development.
Song Yuzhi, vice president of School of Physics and Electronics and Liu Zuankuo, vice president of School of Management Science and Engineering introduced their experience as representatives of their college. Associate professor Gao Xiaonan, the teacher’s representative, talked about the experience of studying abroad from his personal experience. Student representatives Fan Junwei and Zhang Jingxuan expressed their gratitude for the concern for the growth and development of students, saying that they would cherish the opportunity of studying abroad.
Leaders and teachers’representatives presented certificates to students who had won the first batch of the overseas scholarship.
Since launched in April this year, the fund project of outstanding students studying abroad in 2020 has attracted much attention. A total of 18 students in the first batch won the scholarship.
