On the afternoon of November 17th, SDNU held the first appointment ceremony of senior professors in Qianfoshan Campus. Eleven excellent professors were appointed as senior professors. President Zeng Qingliang attended the ceremony and made a speech. The ceremony was presided over by Zhang Wenxin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU.
Zeng Qingliang made three suggestions on how to give full play to the role of senior professors. Firstly, he hoped that senior professors will lead the high-quality development of SDNU and give full play to their important role in talent cultivation. Secondly, senior professors shall strengthen the responsibilities and ensure the implementation of various tasks. Thirdly, the young teachers were expected to follow the example of their predecessors and contribute to the building of a first-class comprehensive normal university in China.
At the ceremony, SDNU awarded the appointment letters to the 11 senior professors selected. The senior professors all expressed that they would continue to strive, take responsibility, devote themselves to research and make new contributions to the high-quality development of SDNU.
