On the morning of December 19^th, the 16th Congress of the Communist Youth League of SDNU was held in Qianfoshan Campus. Shang Shengbo, Zeng Qingliang, Zhang Wenxin, Man Baoyuan, Xing Guang, Wang Chuankui, Wan Guangxia, Zhou Jing, Xu Shuangqing, Cao Qiwei and Jiang Binggang attended the congress. Successive secretary and deputy secretary of representatives of the Youth League Committee of SDNU, the youth pioneer model representatives, the members of the student work leading group, the responsible comrades of the Party committee of the organs and the Party committee of the directly subordinate units and the Labour Union of SDNU, the responsible comrades of the Party committee of each school and affiliated units, and 217 Youth League representatives from 28 units of SDNU attended the congress. Leaders at all levels, League cadres, league members gathered together to celebrate the grand event organized by the Communist Youth League of SDNU. The congress was presided over by Zhao Wei.

On behalf of the Party committee of SDNU, Zhang Wenxin extended warm congratulations and cordial greetings to all delegates.

Shang Shengbo, deputy secretary of the Provincial Communist Youth League Committee, expressed warm congratulations on the opening of the congress and fully affirmed and spoke highly of the achievements made in the work of the Communist Youth League of SDNU.

Four young pioneers from the affiliated primary school delivered speeches on behalf of the young pioneers, Tao Wuduan, chairman of the Labour Union of SDNU, delivered a speech on behalf of the mass organizations, and Jiang Binggang delivered a speech on behalf of Shandong University.

After the opening ceremony, the delegates listened to and considered the work report made by Zhao Wei on behalf of the 15th Committee of the Communist Youth League of SDNU, and elected the 16th Committee of the Communist Youth League of SDNU.

The convening of the 16th Congress of the Communist Youth League of SDNU is conducive to uniting and leading the Youth League members, and contributing to the youth wisdom and enterprising strength of young students for building a first-class comprehensive normal university in China, building a strong socialist modernization province in the new era and building a powerful socialist modern country.
