On the afternoon of September 13th, the Symposium of Foreign Affairs Research and Development Think Tank Construction was held in Qianfoshan Campus. Lin Haibin, deputy director of Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, Zhang Wenxin, deputy secretary of Party Committee of SDNU attended the symposium. Leaders of the Publicity Department of the Party committee, the Social Science Division, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the Foreign Affairs Research Think Tank of SDNU and the Regional and Country Exchange and Cooperation Research Center of SDNU attended the symposium.
Zhang Wenxin expressed warm welcome to Lin Haibin for guiding the Construction of Foreign Affairs Research and Development Think Tank, and heartfelt thanks to the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee for its support to SDNU over the years. He pointed out that SDNU attaches great importance to foreign affairs research and think tank construction, and said that under the guidance of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, SDNU will strive to provide advice and suggestions for government decision-making, and create a high-level, connotative and characteristic "think tank" of universities.
Lin Haibin, on behalf of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, affirmed and appreciated the achievements of the international exchange work of SDNU. He believed that the construction of foreign affairs think tanks in colleges and universities should adhere to high positioning, high standards and high levels, and effectively combine the construction of think tanks with the research capabilities and disciplinary advantages of colleges and universities. As a window university for opening up and exchange in our province, SDNU will certainly create a new situation in the construction of foreign affairs think tanks.
Later, Cao Chun, the director of the Publicity and Research Division of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, made a policy interpretation on the construction of think tanks and the application of topics, and the participants fully exchanged views on relevant topics. After the meeting, Lin Haibin and his delegation visited the Sino Greek Institute of Classical Civilization and the Sino German Leibniz Research Center.
