In the afternoon of October 19th, a group of experts from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province came to SDNU to carry out the review of the national key protection units of ancient books. The expert group consisted of four people, including Liu Xian Shi, director of Shandong Provincial Antiquities Protection Center, secretary of the party committee and director of the provincial library, and Li Yong Hui, deputy director of Shandong Provincial Antiquities Protection Center and deputy director of the provincial library. Vice President Wan Guangxia hosted the briefing and delivered a speech. Library Director Du Baoguo, Deputy Director Liu Changrong and relevant staff of the Department of Special Collections of Ancient Books attended the briefing.
SDNU library was selected as a national key protection unit for ancient books in June 2009. This review has effectively promoted the protection of our ancient books to a new level.
