The opening ceremony of SDNU's 2021 freshmen was held on Sept 7th. Tang Zhouyan, Zeng Qingliang, Zhang Wenxin, Man Baoyuan, Xing Guang ，Wang Chuankui, Wan Guangxia, Zhou Jing and Xu Shuangqing attended the ceremony. Responsible comrades and some teachers and student representatives attended the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony started with the grand national anthem. Tang Zhouyan, secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU, wore university emblems for the representatives of graduate students and undergraduate freshmen respectively.
In his speech, Zeng Qingliang, president of SDNU hoped that the students would closely connect their own efforts with the destiny of the country, integrate their personal ideals and career development with the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and become ambitious and responsible people.
Yang Guiwen, professor of the School of Life Sciences, said that “Only a life full of ideals and dreams is a positive and meaningful life. Only by doing well in study and stepping into society can we have the ability to create our own life and lay a solid foundation for the success of our future career.”
