From May 15thto 16th, the Second National Defense Cup Military Skills Competition and Conscription Publicity Event was held in Changqinghu Campus. Man Baoyuan, vice president of SDNU, Li Jingjin, director of the Armed Forces Department of Changqing District attended the event. Instructors, members of teams, other responsible faculty and military enthusiasts, totally 500 people participated in the launching ceremony.
In the launching ceremony speech, Man Baoyuan stressed that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the event was a mobilization of the New Year's summer conscription work and a vivid national defense course.
Li Jingjin said over the years, SDNU had been adhering to the conscription work of national defense education and military training students overall planning and walking in the forefront of undergraduate universities. Li called on the majority of outstanding young students to serve our country by serving in the army.
A total of 120 teachers and students from 20 teams participated in the competition. After fierce competition, School of Physical Education, School of Fine Arts and the School of Music won the First Prize of Group.
SDNU has long attached great importance to national defense education and will continue to encourage and guide more young people with aspirations to serve the country and devote themselves to national defense.
