On the morning of April 17th, the memorial symposium of An Zuozhang was held in Qianfoshan Campus of SDNU. Tang Zhouyan, Party Secretary of SDNU, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Professor Bu Xianqun, director of Institute of Ancient History of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Yue Qingping of Peking University, and related experts and scholars attended the symposium. The symposium was presided over by Wan Guangxia, Vice President of SDNU.
Tang Zhouyan pointed out in his speech that An Zuozhang is an excellent historian and educator of Marxism. He hoped that all the teachers and students of SDNU could learn from Mr. An's spirit of studying and constantly push SDNU to a new level in the construction of "Double High" and "Double First Class".
In his speech, Bu Xianqun spoke highly of the characteristics of Mr. An Zuozhang's academic research and pointed out that we should learn from Mr. An's academic research spirit.
Qi Xiusheng, Dai Guoxi, and An Zuozhang's student representatives made speeches, expressing their infinite reverence and deep yearning for An Zuozhang. Representatives of An Zuozhang's family gave a speech of thanks.
The memorial forum for An Zuozhang was hosted by the School of History and Culture of SDNU and the Qilu Cultural Research Institute. Staff from relevant departments attended the symposium.
