On March 8th,the first day of SDNU’s spring new semester in 2021, Tang Zhouyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU and Zeng Qingliang, President of SDNU respectively delivered the first lecture of the new semester.
“What wisdom and strength should we learn from the history of the Communist Party of China?”Tang Zhouyan gave the first lecture to the students of the School of Marxism and the School of History and Culture. Tang Zhouyan stressed that the centenary of the Communist Party of China is a centenary in which the Party leads the people to realize national rejuvenation and change the destiny of the nation. He hoped that the students would earnestly study the history of the Party and contribute their youth and strength to the realization of the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
“What is the mission and responsibility of a normal university?”Focusing on this topic, Zeng Qingliang gave the first lecture to the students of the School of Chemistry &Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. Zeng analyzed that SDNU’s development is facing both opportunities and challenges. He hoped that the students should bear in mind the mission, set up lofty ideals and settle down to work.
Tang and Zeng's lecture won the applause of the students. The students said that they were greatly encouraged. The lectures of the school leaders have strong practical pertinence and guiding significance for students’ better growth.
