On January 8th, the establishment ceremony of the Shandong Branch of the National Basic Foreign Language Education Research and Training Center，and the Shandong Basic Foreign Language Education Innovation and Development Seminar were held. Wang Chuankui, Wen Qiufang and Wang Yong delivered speeches respectively. Wang Zhuo presided over the establishment ceremony.
Wang Chuankui pointed out that the establishment of the center will help the overall development of basic education in Shandong Province. Wen Qiufang hoped that all parties will jointly promote the development of basic foreign language education. Wang Yong pointed out that the Foreign Research Institute is willing to provide support for the development of foreign language education in Shandong Province.
Chen Zhenzhen and Yue Xiliang jointly unveiled the center.
In the expert lecture session, Zhang Lianzhong, Cheng Xiaotang, and Yang Luxin made keynote speeches.
At the seminar, the participants had a lively discussion on further improving the level of basic foreign language education in Shandong Province.
