On the morning of November 29th, Tan Weihong, the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Hunan University and a group of excellent scholars visited SDNU. Tang Zhouyan, Secretary of Party Committee of SDNU and Xing Guang, Vice President of SDNU met them in Qianfoshan Campus and had a symposium.
On behalf of SDNU, Tang Zhouyan welcomed Tan and other scholars and showed gratitude for their caring and support. He said that SDNU would make full use of the existing resources, achieve the hidden potential of disciplines and make new steps in the construction of "Double First Class".
Tan Weihong spoke highly of SDNU’s profound educational background and outstanding achievements. For the goal of building SDNU a "double first-class" university, he showed the willingness to cooperate with SDNU to build a first-class interdisciplinary scientific research team.
Relevant faculty members of School of Chemistry &Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Office of the Party Committee and President's Office attended the symposium.
