On November 8th, the 4th academic committee meeting of Institute of Qilu Culture, Shandong Province of SDNU was held. Tang Zhouyan, Party secretary of SDNU, Chen Lai, director of School of Chinese Classics, Tsinghua University, and experts from various universities attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by vice president, Wan Guangxia; president Zeng Qingliang met with the experts attending the meeting before the meeting.
Tang Zhouyan delivered a speech on behalf of SDNU. He thanked all the experts for their support to SDNU and introduced the development during the last 70 years. He hoped to build Institute of Qilu Culture, Shandong Province into a high-level platform for the study of traditional culture under the guidance of experts. In his speech, Chen Lai said that Institute of Qilu Culture, Shandong Province had achieved remarkable success. In future construction, members of institute shall make full use of Qilu culture resources and form our own Chinese discipline system to highlight Chinese characteristics.
The experts at the meeting expressed their appreciation for the institute's achievements in the past five years and expressed their expectations for the future development of the Institute. They hoped that the institute can focus on Qilu culture, grasp the mainstream of culture, and serve the national strategy.
