On the afternoon of October 28th,the School of Music held an alumni symposium to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of SDNU. The symposium was presided over by Zhang Yuping, secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU. He first expressed his warm welcome to all the alumni returning to SDNU and his sincere gratitude to the alumni for their contributions. He said the School of Music at SDNU has continued to grow through successive generations, thanks to the leadership and outstanding contributions of its alumni. Li Haiou, director of the School of Music, introduced the development of the School of Music and its advantages and characteristics in detail. Liu Xinsheng, a famous professor of SDNU, said in his speech that the School of Music has made remarkable achievements. Generation after generation of teachers have made great efforts to train outstanding students one after another. The alumni have inherited and carried forward the spirit of normal university in their respective positions and made remarkable achievements. Alumni exchanged and shared their own learning and work experience and life experience, expressing gratitude for the cultivation and education and the motivation given by the spirit of SDNU.
As the discussion drew to a close, the alumni expressed their great honor to return to their alma mater to have a discussion and exchange ideas with their teachers, review the past and look forward to the future together.
