From October 24th to 25th, sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and SDNU, the first research and review conference on the study of contemporary Chinese political history was held in Qianfoshan Campus. More than 60 experts and scholars from universities, Party schools and scientific research institutions all over the country attended the conference.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Hongyu, vice President, expressed his warm welcome to the experts and scholars. He said that the convening of this conference reflects the high sense of responsibility of the conference organizers and participants. Li Zhenghua, chief editor of Contemporary China History Studies, stressed that in-depth study of the achievements and experience in institutional building and national governance of New China is of great significance to upholding and improving the socialist system and promoting modernization of the national governance system and capacity.
At the seminar, the experts discussed the achievements and experiences of New China and related topics, and reported and exchanged their latest research results. The experts and delegates agreed that the success of this conference is of great significance to the theoretical and practical exploration of the modernization of China's governance system and governance capacity.
