After the breakthroughs made in the annual projects of the National Social Science Fund and the youth projects, SDNU has made new achievements in the project. Ten projects have been approved in the university, with the approval rate reaching 50%. Among them, nine projects are funded by the National Social Science Fund, ranking the 14th in China, the 4th in normal universities and the 1st in provincial universities. Also, an excellent doctoral thesis won the fund of publishing project, which is one of the two projects in Shandong Province.
The 10 projects of SDNU cover seven subjects: Chinese history, linguistics, Marxism-Leninism, law, Chinese literature, pedagogy and art. The projects are distributed in 7 units.
National Social Science Fund projects and Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Publishing Project aim to encourage workers to carry forward the best of study, and to cultivate a group of outstanding young scholars, giving full play to the development and prosperity of national social science. This project is one of the methods to apply the national social science fund. It mainly finances those who have basically completed and not yet published their excellent academic achievements. It supports the outstanding young scholars who own a large development potential and excellent doctoral thesis.
