SDNU Has Been Approved the Fifth Confucius Institute.

Recently, the Confucius Institute headquarters replied to the Department of Education of Shandong Province, formally approving SDNU’s cooperation with Jeddah University, Saudi Arabia to build the Confucius Institute of Jeddah University. This is the first Confucius Institute established by Saudi Arabia, and it is also the fifth Confucius Institute that SDNU has jointly built overseas.

Jeddah University is a public university in Saudi Arabia, founded in 2014, located in the city of Jeddah on the bank of the Red Sea, with eight campuses, 18 departments, more than 80 majors, more than 30, 000 students and more than 1300 faculty and staff, the university is committed to creating and maintaining an excellent academic and research environment. After the establishment of the Confucius Institute of Jeddah University, Chinese courses will be taught to the students of the university and the local public, and cultural exchange activities between China and Saudi Arabia will be held.

The approval of the Confucius Institute of Jeddah University marks a breakthrough in the work and construction of the Confucius Institute of SDNU, which is promoting the construction of international cultural characteristics and creating people-to-people exchanges between China and foreign countries,and another important achievement has been made in the career development process of striving to enhance the core competitiveness.
