On December 1st, the International Academic Conference on Chinese Calligraphic and Painting Aesthetics and the Second National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting by Professors was opened in Shandong Provincial Cultural Center. More than 80 scholars from over 30 universities and research institutions attended the conference. President Zeng Qingliang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was chaired by professor Yang Cunchang of School of Chinese Language and Literature.
At the opening ceremony, Zeng Qingliang expressed warm welcome to the guests and briefly introduced the long history of SDNU and School of Chinese Language and Literature.After the opening ceremony, the International Academic Conference on Chinese Calligraphic and Painting Aesthetics was held in the lecture hall at Qianfoshan Campus of SDNU. It is reported that the calligraphy and painting works will be exhibited in the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center on December 1st to 5th.
