On October 13th,the 16th Chinese Symposium on Photochemistry of China Chemical Society, sponsored by China Chemical Society and organized by photochemistry Committee of China Chemical Society, Shandong Normal University, Institute of physical and chemical technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was opened in Lishan theatre, Jinan, Shandong Province. Honorary chairman of the conference, chairman of the academic committee, researcher of the Institute of physical and chemical technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Tong Zhenhe, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Hong Kong University of science and technology Tang Benzhong,academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Beijing Normal University Fang Weihai, director of the photochemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Academy of chemistry and deputy director of the Institute of physical and chemical technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Wang Pengfei,Professor of Shaanxi Normal University Fang Yu, Professor of Hong Kong City University Li Zhensheng, vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Yang Guoqiang, researcher of Institute of science and technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences Wu Lizhu, vice president of Huazhong University of science and technology Xie Xiaolin,director of Shandong Foreign Experts Bureau Zhang Zhuxiu and Wang Chuankui, vice president of Shandong Normal University attended the opening ceremony. More than 600 teachers and students from 133 universities and scientific research institutes at home and abroad attended the meeting. The opening ceremony was chaired by Wang Xuesong, a researcher of the Institute of physical and chemical technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
