Zeng Qingliang Meets Guests from Kenyatta University, Kenya.

On April 16th, President Zeng Qingliang welcomed Kamau Wango,Kenyan Director of the Confucius  Institute at Kenyatta University,Kenya ,in Qianfoshan Campus. The two sides had an in-depth disscussion on the construction of Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University. Li Jing,Chinese Director and theleaders of the Office of Confucius Institute Affairs attended the meeting.

On behalf of SDNU, Zeng Qingliang warmly welcomed the delegation of Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University,he then said that the construction of Confucius Institutes is an important part of SDNU's internationalization, and SDNU attaches great importance to the construction and development of Confucius Institute. Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University has played an irreplaceable role in Chinese language and culture teaching and the promotion of Intercollegiate exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. He hoped that with the concern and support of the headquarters of Confucius Institutes and the two universities, through the joint efforts of Chinese and Kenyan directors, Confucius Institute would expand a broader platform for the cooperation and exchange between the two universities and build a bridge for the relevant cultural exchanges.

Professor Wango gave a detailed introduction of Kenyatta University and thanked SDNU for the support for the construction and development of the Confucius Institute. He said that students from Kenyatta University are very enthusiastic about learning Chinese. Kenyatta University will apply for the Bachelor's Degree in Chinese on the basis of the Chinese Academic Degree Project, which will be a milestone for Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University to upgrade its educational level and expand its global influence. He said that during his visit to Shandong Normal University, the delegation had in-depth exchanges with the College of International Education , the School of Life Sciences, the School of Journalism and Communication and the University library,which has laid the groundwork for further exchange and cooperation.
