On April 14th, President Zeng Qingliang welcomed Chang Yeong Dal , President of Woosuk University,South Korea in Qianfoshan Campus. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening and deepening student exchange projects, teacher exchanges and academic cooperation.

Zeng Qingliang extended a warm welcome to Chang Yeong Dal on behalf of SDNU. He introduced the development of SDNU from the aspects of the history , the achievements, the cultivation of students, the education of overseas students and the cooperation of scientific research, and briefly reviewed the history of the exchange and cooperation between the two universities. He said that Woosuk University is the most important partner in South Korea which has complete disciplines, strong scientific research strength and high level of internationalization. Zeng Qingliang pointed out that the level of internationalization has become an indispensable indicator in the evaluation of a university.SDNU regards the level of internationalization as one of its development strategies. It is hoped that on the basis of good exchanges, the two sides will strengthen personnel exchanges, expand exchanges and deepen practical cooperation.

Chang Yeong Dal said that strengthening international exchanges can effectively improve the university’s comprehensive strength and international reputation, and provide diversified cultural experience for the students. There are more than 2,000 overseas students in Woosuk University, of whom more than 300 are Chinese students studying for doctoral degree. He hoped that the students from the two universities will serve as a bridge for friendly exchanges between China and South Korea. He said that this year is the 40th anniversary of Woosuk University, and next year will be the 70th anniversary of SDNU and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly and cooperative relations between the two universities. He hoped that the two universities would take this opportunity to seize opportunities, cherish friendship and further deepen cooperation and exchanges.
