On December 23rd, Professor Lu Huayu,Director of School of Geography and Marine Sciences of Nanjing University was invited to visit SDNU.Vice President Wang Hongyu held a meeting with professor Lu Huayu in Qianfoshan Campus.
Wang Hongyu, on behalf of SDNU welcomed Professor Lu Huayu. He thanked professor Lu Huayu for his long-term concern and support. He also briefly introduced the history of SDNU and the achievements of reform and construction in recent years. He said that professor Lu is a well-known physico-geographic expert with important influence at home and abroad who has made important achievements in monsoon climate change, loess-desert-river geomorphic process and so on.He hoped that professor Lu will continue to support the development of Shandong Normal University, guide the subject of Geography in teaching and research, platform construction, academic exchanges and social services, and constantly enhance the comprehensive strength and core competitiveness of the subject of geography.
Lu Huayu thanked SDNU for the trust and congratulated Shandong Normal University on its remarkable achievements in reform and development. He also briefly introduced the long history and recent achievements in geography of Nanjing University , and shared his own scientific research experience and work experience.He hoped to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the School of Geography and Environment of SDNU in disciplines construction, scientific research platform upgrading, major discipline application and other aspects, so as to provide services for promoting the construction of "double first-class" university.
