On November 20st, the 2018 Overseas Outstanding Chinese Teachers'Seminar was held in SDNU. The seminar was sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee and co-sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province and Shandong Normal University. Wang Yuliang, Wu Haihong, Zhou Lianyong together with some leaders,teachers and postgraduates of the College of International Education attended the opening ceremony. The participants of the seminar were composed of 55 overseas Chinese teachers from eight countries, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, the United States, Canada, Australia, Mauritius and Brazil. The opening ceremony was chaired by Wang Yuliang.
Wang Yuliang hoped that the overseas Chinese teachers could make new and greater contributions.Zhou Lianyong extended sincere greetings to the overseas Chinese teachers, he then said that for a long time SDNU has attached great importance to Chinese education. Chinese education is an important means to inherit and promote excellent Chinese culture.He hoped that this seminar would provide a platform for the outstanding overseas Chinese teachers to deepen communication, communicate ideas and enhance feelings and promote the further development of overseas Chinese education.
