On October 29th,SDNU held the statue of Confucius sitting ceremony in Changqinghu campus. Wang Yun, Vice President of the North American Alumni Association, Alumni of 1985 of the Department of Chemistry, General Manager of North Pacific International Trading Company, Vancouver, Canada,Wang Huanbin,Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU , together with Vice President Wan Guangxia attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Du Baoguo, Director of the library.
Wang Huanbin and Wang Yun jointly unveiled the statue of Confucius. Leaders, guests, teachers and students who attended the ceremony bowed to the statue of Confucius with respect.
On behalf of SDNU,Wan Guangxia expressed his heartfelt thanks to Wang Yun and warmly congratulated on the sitting of the statue of Confucius.
In his speech, Wang Yun expressed the gratitude of North American Alumni Association to SDNU. She hoped that the students should inherit and carry forward the fine traditional culture left by the forefathers,study hard and make contributions to SDNU and social development.
