On October 27, the signing ceremony of comprehensive strategic cooperation of Shandong Culture and Tourism Department and Shandong Normal University was held in Shandong Normal University. Zhang Kun, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Professor Wang Chuankui, vice president of Shandong Normal University, attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Wang Fake, Secretary of the Party committee of School of Business.
In his speech, Wang Chuankui briefly introduced SDNU’s development and achievements. Wang Chuankui said that SDNU was one of the earliest universities in China to offer undergraduate and postgraduate education in tourism management. It has a long-term and good foundation for cooperation with Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in the fields of tourism culture,tourism planning, education and training. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement is the extension and concretization of the comprehensive cooperation between SDNU and Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. It is also an important measure to give full play to the advantages of SDNU and the government, to strengthen the training of tourism talents in the whole region and to serve the local economic and social development.SDNU will conscientiously implement the agreement, effectively integrate tourism education resources, carry out practical cooperation , strive to achieve practical results and achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.
Zhang Kun said that the signing of the comprehensive strategic cooperation has opened a new chapter of cooperation and collaborative innovation between the government and the university, which will promote the high quality development of Shandong's global tourism.
