On October 9, the 24th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming was held in Changqinghu Campus. Professor Anne Congdon of the University of British Columbia, Canada, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Professor Su Shuwei, Deputy Secretary of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Professor Wang Chunxia, Director of Chemistry Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Professor Shang Zhixiao ,Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong Normal University, gave speeches separately. Professor Liu Dongsheng of Tsinghua University, Professor Fan Chunhai of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Dave Dotty of the University of California at Davis, Professor William of Harvard University, Professor Chen Helin of Taiwan University, Professor Arvind Muruge of the University of Chicago, Professor Liu Na of Heidelberg University, and Professor Qian Lulu of California Institute of Technology and other experts and scholars from nearly 300 famous universities and research institutions attended the conference. The opening ceremony was chaired by Tang Bo, president of SDNU.
