On September 5, the opening ceremony and military training mobilization for the freshmen of grade 2018 was held in Qianfoshan Campus and Changqinghu Campus respectively. Shang Zhixiao, Tang Bo, Mei Xiao, Wang Huanbin, Zhang Wenxin, Yao Dongfang, Duan Peiyong, Wang Hongyu, Xing Guang, Wang Chuankui and Wan Guangxia attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Wang Huanbin.
Shang Zhixiao gave the flag to the new students military training brigade of Shandong Normal University. On behalf of SDNU, Tang Bo warmly welcomed the new students of Grade 2018 and expressed his sincere thanks to all the officers and soldiers of the PLA Group 80 Army who undertook the task of military training.
Tang Bo said that the arrival of new students made the beautiful Shandong Normal University more energetic and vigorous. He encouraged the freshmen to bear the great mission of the times,try their best to cultivate the moral character, enrich their knowledge, develop their abilities and take on the task of national rejuvenation in the new era.
