On May 12th, the training base for Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange(Ministry of Education)was set up in Shandong Normal University.Han Sanjun, deputy director of the International Department of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, Zhang Wenxin,deputy Party secretary of SDNU ,Wan Guangxia ,Vice President of SDNU attended the meeting. More than 80 people from universities and high schools in Shandong province participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Lianyong , director of office of international exchange &cooperation.
In his speech, HanSanjun briefly introduced Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange(Ministry of Education) and emphasized on the overseas training base project. He said that the project mainly relies on the advantages of domestic universities to provide systematic training and effective services for students who study abroad. It is hoped that the project will further enhance the internationalization of Shandong Normal University.
It is reported that since the implementation of the training program since April 2007,Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange has established cooperative relationship with 19 universities in China, 3 universities in Shandong province at present.Shandong Normal University is the first and only one in Jinan in which training base has been established.
