On April 23rd,which was the twenty-third "world reading day", the seventh Reading Festival of Shandong Normal University was held in Changqinghu Campus. Vice President Wan Guangxia attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Gong Shaobo.
Wan Guangxia congratulated on the opening of the seventh Reading Festival.He said that the activities of the Reading Festival were to promote the students' humanistic literacy, cultivate the innovative spirit and practical ability, enhance the cultural taste and create a strong atmosphere of Humanities and scientific research.It was hoped that college students would actively respond to the call of the general secretary Xi Jinping to "make reading a way of life".
The reading Festival series will run through the whole year. The following activities include the reports of the famous academicians, western oil painting exhibition, exhibition of the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up,database training lectures and other activities.
