The "China Carbon Peak Carbon Neutralization International Forum" ,sponsored by the China Society for Sustainable Development, and organized by the editorial department of China's Population, Resources and Environment and the Carbon Neutralization Research Institute of Shandong Normal University,was successfully held in Jinan from June 9th-11th.

Professor Liu Yanhua, former vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, chief editor of China's Population, Resources and Environment, Professor Pan Jiahua, member of the academic department of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, president of the Institute of Ecological Civilization of Beijing University of Technology, vice chairman of the National Climate Change Expert Committee, Xue Jinjun, distinguished professor of Nagoya University, director of the carbon neutral innovation joint laboratory,Chief Scientist of the Collaborative Innovation Center jointly built by the Ministry and the province for carbon Emissions trading, Researcher Shi Dan, Director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Ten Thousand Talents Program Scholar, Professor Wang Zhaohua, Director of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology and winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Su Bin, Director of the Energy and Environment Research Center of National University of Singapore , editorial board member of China Population, Resources and Environment (English version), attended the forum. Zeng Qingliang, President of Shandong Normal University and deputy editor in chief and editorial director of China's Population, Resources and Environment, delivered a welcome speech, and Cai Yangjian, vice president of Shandong Normal University, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum. More than 90 experts and scholars from relevant fields at home and abroad participated in the forum both online and offline.

In his speech, Zeng Qingliang expressed a sincere welcome to the experts and scholars attending the forum, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their long-term care and support to SDNU and editorial department. He introduced the development and outstanding achievements of Shandong Normal University for more than 70 years, focusing on the outstanding contributions of China's Population, Resources and Environment (Chinese and English versions) in promoting sustainable development in China and the world. He expected the experts to speak freely at this forum, exchange research results of the "double carbon" goal.

Liu Yanhua, Pan Jiahua, Xue Jinjun, Shi Dan, Wang Zhaohua and Su Bin delivered the keynote report of the forum, respectively discussing the international situation of climate change, the impact of geopolitics on climate change and energy supply chain resilience, and zero carbon transition.

The forum consists of 2 sub-forums to conduct thematic discussions on hot topics in the field of "dual carbon". The attending experts fully affirmed the achievements of the journal during the "China Population, Resources and Environment (English Version) High Quality Development Forum", and actively provided suggestions on the problems and challenges faced by future development, publication mechanisms, and ideas for soliciting and promoting articles. This forum will contribute to the high-quality development of China's Population, Resources and Environment (English Version).
