On June 16th, the 2023 graduate graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony were held in Qianfoshan campus. Feng Jikang, Zeng Qingliang, Wan Guangxia,Wang Chuankui, Zhang Maocong, Cai Yangjian, Zheng Yuanjie and Dong Jinwei attended the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Zheng Yuanjie.

Cai Yangjian read out the documents of approving the graduation of 2023 graduate students, commending outstanding graduate students and outstanding doctoral and master's Thesis. Feng Jikang presented awards to the representative of outstanding graduate students, and the representative of outstanding doctoral and master's Thesis winners. Zhang Maocong announced the decision to award doctoral and master's degrees. The leaders presented the certificates to those who have obtained doctoral and master's degrees.

In his speech, Zeng Qingliang affirmed the achievements of the graduates during the COVID-19 epidemic, and thanked them for their efforts in the development of SDNU. Zeng Qingliang made a ten-year promise with graduates, hoping that in the next decade, they will pursue the "light of ideals, struggle and character", integrate their youth into the great practice of national rejuvenation, continue to promote the excellent qualities of being responsible, strive achieve the best results of contemporary youth.

Alumni representative Dong Jinwei shared his academic experience and insights, encouraging students to set clear goals, work diligently, maintain the diligent and down-to-earth style of SDNUers, and let their youth bloom brightly. Professor Chang Qing, a teacher representative and executive director of the School of Journalism and Communication, encouraged graduates to always maintain their original aspirations, become thinkers, fighters and confident individuals, and write their own magnificent chapter in the magnificent era. In her speech, Hao Qianqian, a representative of graduates, recalled her 10 years of good time in SDNU, expressed her gratitude to SDNU and teachers, and said that she would fulfill the promise with SDNU.

Before the ceremony, the MV "Song of Time", an original graduate song was played on the spot, and the student and teacher representatives performed the song chorus "The Most Beautiful Expectation", creating a strong atmosphere of the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, all teachers and students sang a chorus of "Goodbye", expressing their blessings for the future. The ceremony was live streamed online in the form of videos and pictures.

In 2023, a total of 82 students obtained doctoral degrees, and 2280 students obtained master's degrees.
