On June 16th, the 2023 undergraduate graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony were held in Changqinghu Campus. Feng Jikang, Zeng Qingliang, Wan Guangxia, Wang Chuankui, Zhou Jing, Zhang Maocong and Cai Yangjian, Dong Jinwei attended the ceremony. Members of the degree evaluation committee of SDNU, leaders of the teaching and research units and relevant departments, and the 2023 undergraduate graduates attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wan Guangxia.

The leaders issued the graduation certificate and degree to the representatives of the graduates.

Zeng Qingliang, on behalf of SDNU and all staff, expressed warm congratulations and best wishes to the 7343 graduates who successfully completed their studies. He also expressed respect and gratitude to the teachers and parents who have devoted a lot of effort to the growth and success of the graduates. He reviewed the opening ceremony four years ago when he and the students jointly made the "Thousand Day Promise". During these 1000 days, we together handed in the best answers and excellently fulfilled the "Thousand Day Promise". He hoped that students will continue to care and support the development of SDNU, and made a "ten-year commitment to pursuing glory" with graduates.

Alumni representative Dong Jinwei reviewed the exciting moments of university life, the struggle for further education, and the life insights since work. He pointed out that direction is more important than effort, and success comes from diligence and focus.

Teacher representative and Executive Director of the School of Journalism and Communication, Chang Qing, congratulated the students on successfully completing their studies and graduating, and encouraged them to become thinkers rather than questioners, become a perceiver, not a bystander, become a fighter, not a hedonist, become a confident person, not a self pity person. He hoped that students can write their own magnificent chapter in the magnificent era.

Yang Shengxi, a representative of graduate paid tribute and thanked SDNU, his mentor, parents and classmates, and said that he would keep in mind the motto , work hard, and contribute to the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in a new era.

Before the ceremony, SDNU arranged a lion dance performance, aerobics "Red Women's Army" for all graduates, and the graduation class counselor's music, poetry, and painting choir "Wishing you a pleasant journey", which won applause and enthusiastic interaction from the students on site.
