On May 23rd, Vladimir Tolstoy, Cultural Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the International Association of Russian Language and Literature Teachers, led a delegation to visit SDNU. President Zeng Qingliang met with visiting guests in Changqinghu Campus. Sun Yebao, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee's Foreign Affairs Office, Tatyana V. Kortava, Vice President of Moscow State University, and Sergey Andryushin, Vice President of St. Petersburg State University, attended the meeting.
Zeng Qingliang appointed Vladimir Tolstoy as a visiting professor on behalf of SDNU and issued a letter of appointment. Subsequently, Zeng Qingliang and Vladimir Tolstoy jointly planted a friendship tree, wishing the friendship between the two sides to last forever.
During his visit, Vladimir Tolstoy was invited to give an academic report titled "Life and Creation of Leo Tolstoy" to teachers and students of the School of Foreign Languages.
