On April 24th, the China Publishing Association issued a notice on the announcement of the evaluation results of the 8th China Excellent Publication Award, officially announcing the evaluation results of the 8th China Excellent Publication Award. Professor Fu Jin, Director of the School of Journalism and Communication, authored the "Compilation of Historical Documents of Peking Opera - Republic of China Volume" and won the 8th China Excellent Publication (Book) Award.
Professor Fu Jin led a team of Peking Opera literature editors for several years, with the goal of collecting all important historical materials related to the birth and development of Peking Opera since the arrival of the Huizhou troupe in Beijing. In chronological order, he comprehensively and systematically recorded the historical development dynamics of Peking Opera's formation, showcasing its profound historical and cultural connotations. The "Compilation of Historical Documents of Peking Opera" is divided into two parts: the Qing Dynasty Volume and the Republic of China Volume. This is the first relatively complete compilation of historical documents since the birth of Peking Opera. "Compilation of Historical Documents of Peking Opera (Qing Dynasty Volume)" has won the first prize of the National Excellent Ancient Book Award.
