On March 19th, the 5th Academic Committee Meeting of the Qilu Cultural Research Institute of SDNU, the key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, was held in Jinan. Feng Jikang, Secretary of the Party Committee of SDNU, Wang Zhimin, Honorary Director of the Academic Committee of the Base and Distinguished Senior Professor of SDNU, and Wang Zhenzhong, Director of the Academic Committee of the Base and member of the Faculty of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the meeting. Experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University,Shandong University, Shandong Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Shandong Normal University, as well as relevant responsible comrades of the Office of the Party Committee of SDNU, the Social Science Department and the Qilu Cultural Research Institute attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Wan Guangxia.

Feng Jikang delivered a speech on behalf of SDNU. He warmly welcomed the experts and introduced the construction and development of SDNU for more than 70 years. Feng Jikang expressed the hope that the academic committee members can put forward more suggestions for the development of the base and promote the base to become a high-end research platform in the field of humanities and social sciences. Subsequently, the letter of appointment ceremony was held, and Feng Jikang issued letters of appointment to the relevant experts of the Academic Committee.

In his speech, Wang Zhimin thanked SDNU for its strong support for the work of the base over the years. And Wang Zhenzhong thanked the leaders of SDNU for their trust and support, and spoke highly of the excellent results and development of Qilu Cultural Research Institute in the base evaluation.

Experts attending the meeting congratulated the base on its achievements in the past five years, and offered suggestions to plan for the future and development of the base.
