The Nature Index of SDNU Ranked 30th Among Chinese Mainland Colleges and Universities in 2017

Recently,British Nature Publishing Group updated the nature index of 2018(within the whole year of 2017),SDNU ranked 203rd in the world (went up by 6 places compared with the data of Jan 2018 ),30th among Chinese mainland colleges and universities,3rd among normal universities of China,2nd among the universities in Shandong province.The subject of chemistry of SDNU ranks 78th among the universities in the world,22nd in mainland China,2nd in domestic normal universities and 1st in Universities in Shandong province.

In 2017,SDNU published 76 papers in the 68 natural science journals preferably selected by Nature Publishing Group, with a weighted score of 51.11. The updated data have shown the progress of SDNU compared with the data of Jan 2018 (68 papers with a weighted score of 47.87, ranked 209th in the worldfrom October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017).The number of papers and weighted score went up by 85.4% and 52.2% respectively compared with that of 2017 (41 papers,with a weighted score of 33.59 from January 1, 2016 to December 31 ,2016 ), the number of papers and weighted score were increased by 130.3% and 101.8% respectively compared with that of 2016 ( 33 papers,with a weighted score of 25.33 from January 1, 2015 to December 31 ,2015) .

British Nature Publishing Group also released the nature index list of four subjects: Chemistry, physics, life sciences, earth and environmental science, among the global TOP 500,the subject of chemistry of SDNU is doing very well, the latest data show that in 2017, SDNU published 72 papers in the subject of chemistry in 68 Natural Science Journals, accounting for 94.7% of the total number of papers in SDNU,with a weighted score of 49.51,the number of the papers and the weighed score went up by125% and 96.1% respectively compared with that in 2015 (the total number of papers of chemistry is 32 ,with a weighted score of 25.25) .

Nature Index is the database of the number of papers published in the 68 top journals in the world by universities ,colleges and research institutions from different countries.
