In the morning of June 8th, 2017, President Andrei Carroll and Vice-President Yuri Bereich from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno came to Shandong Normal University for a friendly visit.
Vice-President Zhang Wenxin met with them in the reception room on the second floor of Administration Building in Qianfoshan Campus and welcomed Andrei Carroll's first visit. He proposed that, based on establishing cooperation, international exchanges between the two universities should focus on details and long-term development. He also expressed that international exchanges should gradually expand from specific projects to a wider area of cooperation. Andrei Carroll thanked SDNU for the warm reception. He agreed with Zhang's proposal. He hoped that the two sides would work together to find a breakthrough point for specific cooperation with the help of this visit.
The two sides signed the Intercollegiate Exchange and Cooperation Agreement which discussed the summer short-term language projects of Belorussian, student exchanges, teacher exchanges, cooperation of scientific research projects and other issues. Both sides reached a broad consensus. It marked that Yanka Kupala StateUniversity of Grodno had officially become the 116th overseas-friendly cooperation academy of Shandong Normal University.
