From April 12th to 22nd,the educational delegation of Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University,Kenya visited SDNU. Zhang Wenxin, deputy secretary of the Party committee of SDNU welcomed the delegation. Both sides communicated with each other in terms of exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students,artistic and sports exchanges,cooperative research, and reached broad consensus and cooperation intention.
During their stay in SNDU, the delegation visited College of International Education,School of Foreign Languages,School of Physical Education and School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and communicated in terms of establishing Chinese language and culture undergraduate program, the project of Confucius Institute scholarship,cooperation with teachers of SDNU to translate Chinese children's literature into Kiswahili (Note: Kenyan national language, one of the official languages of the country), the mutual visit of the basketball teams, the invitation of the experts and scholars of SDNU to attend the international academic conference, sending the young teachers from the Kenyatta University to SDNU to study and so on.Some programs are being progressively implemented. Meanwhile, the delegation came to Changqinghu Campus and visited the new library.
