On December 15th2017, Tang Bo, president of SDNU, met Kamau Wango, Kenyan director of the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University in Kenya and Li Qiang, the Chinese director in the reception room on the 2nd floor of Administration Building. The two parties had deep discussion and reached a consensus in terms of the meeting of Confucius Institute, the 10thanniversary of the Confucius Institute at Kenyatta University, recruitment of overseas students and so on. Joining members are the leaders of College of International Education, School of Foreign Languages, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, School of Physical Education, Office of Educational Administration, Office of International Exchange and Co-operations and so on.
Tang Bo expressed welcome to the visitors and introduced to the guests the development of SDNU in recent years in terms of its establishing history, campus plan, student amount, specialty establishment, foreign cooperation and so on.
Kamau Wango expressed thanks for the warm reception and sent sincere blessing to President Tang Bo on behalf of the vice chancellor of Kenyatta University. He indicated that he always took China as his second hometown and this visit was a precious study and communication opportunity for him. He said that he felt a lot when he made deep conclusion on teachers training plan, efforts made for that and developing direction in the future of the Confucius Institute of Kenyatta University on the 12thForum of Directors of Confucius Institute Meeting.
After that, visitors visited the College of International Communication, the two parties discussed details and reached consensus on overseas students recruitment, joint cultivation Chinese subject construction and other cooperative programs.
