On May 21st, Professor Peter de Boves Harrington, director of the center for intelligent chemical instrument, Ohio University, was invited to pay SDNU a visit. Tang Bo received the guest in Qianfoshan Campus. The leading officials from the school of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering and Materials Science,Personnel Office,Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the meeting. The two sides made in-depth discussions on student training and scientific research cooperation, and reached a preliminary consensus.
Tang Bo warmly welcomed the guest and gave a brief introduction of SDNU's history, campus planning,the number of students and disciplines. Tang Bo said that Shandong Normal University attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation and takes internationalization as the basic strategy for further development. It is hoped that the two universities will make substantial progress in the fields of teaching and scientific research.
Professor Harrington attached great importance to this meeting,he introduced the current situation of the teaching and graduate training of the Department of chemistry of Ohio University, and had a deep exchange with the teachers on graduate courses, training programs, scientific research cooperation and so on, and expressedthe desire for cooperation.
