On Jan 20 2018, the first Shandong scholars of Stanford University academic conference was held in the library of Changqinghu Campus.More than 40 experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, China Medicine University, Shandong University, Qilu Hospital, Shandong provincial hospital, Shandong tumor hospital attended the conference. The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the cooperation between universities and hospitals both at home and abroad, and to contribute to the cross-scientific research and innovation of medical workers in Shandong province.Leading officials of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Department,United Front Department, Talent Work Office, School ofPhysics and Electronic Science attended the conference. The conference was chaired by Professor Li Dengwang, vice director of School of Physics and Electronic Science.

Chen Chenggang, director of basic research and technology department ofShandong Provincial Science and Technology Department introduced the current main basic research in Shandong province to the experts, he encouraged thecross-research between medicine and engineering, and hoped that through the conference, the experts can work together to promote clinical medicine. Sui Wenhui, director of United Front Department of SDNU, introduced the development of SDNU and welcomed all the returned experts and scholars to Shandong Normal University for academic exchanges, and hoped that all experts and scholars can participate in the double-first-class construction of Shandong Normal University. Cheng Chuanfu,director of School of Physics and Electronic Science, introduced the development of the school andthe key laboratory of medical physics image processing technology in Shandong province.Liu Tao, official of Talent Work Office, introduced the talent policy of Shandong Normal University and Dongyue Forum to the experts and scholars.

Subsequently, each expert and scholar carried out academic reports respectively, and introduced their latest research results.More than 30 brilliant academic reports were held and the experts expressed the expectation of future research on medical and engineering.
